A Holistic Approach to Anxiety

When: Saturday, February 10 at 9:30 a.m.

Where: Listuguj Education Complex

Lunch will be provided

Workshop Description:

In this experiential presentation, we will learn in an integrated and embodied way – involving both brain and body. We will cover nervous system basics including its various branches and functions, the importance of the appropriately hyped-up vagus nerve, and the ground-breaking polyvagal theory framework. You will learn how many symptoms of stress, anxiety and burnout might relate to nervous system dysregulation as a result of stress and/or trauma, and your body’s healthy protection responses being stuck “on”. Finally, we will explore how reconnecting to the body and regulating the nervous system is essential to healing and experiencing greater overall health and well-being.

A bit about Manon Laviolette:

She works with clients of all types, from babies to older adults, and sees local clients, generally from the Restigouche and Chaleur regions in New Brunswick. but also offers online appointments to those not local to this area.

Manon addresses whole health by combining her education and training in Exercise Physiology, Somatic Experiencing®, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, various styles of Yoga including Yin and Restorative, Holistic Nutrition, Shamanic Energy Medicine, and Labour and Postpartum Doula - striking a balance between her scientific background and attunement to the more subtle wisdom and ways of knowing.
